Have you been enjoying your weekend? The weather here has been wonderful. For a Southern California girl, at least. If you like cold temps and wet and snow, you'd be miserable. But if sunny, 73 degrees with an ocean breeze sounds like perfect winter weather, you'd be in heaven.
As you can see, the nasturtiums are thriving. Those leaves really are the size of plates. I love them. They pop up all over the yard and grow with complete abandon. Thank goodness the gopher doesn't like them.
I have tried to enjoy time outdoors. But yesterday was a day for tax preparation and other organizational computer related duties. To make up for it, I grabbed a few minutes at the sewing machine. A few more little touches and I'll be able to show you the finished results.
Today, however, I am determined to get away from the desk, out of the house and into the sunshine. I hope all of you are able to end the weekend on a good note, ready to face a new week.
73 degrees sounds lovely. Sadly that means waiting until at least May to even vaguely experience temperatures like that round here!
ReplyDeleteSounds like beautiful weather! Your nasturtiums are so pretty, they remind me of our pumpkins that are growing all over our back yard. I hope you got all your tax and computer things done so you can enjoy more sewing time this week.
ReplyDeleteYou are killing me with the PKM! I need a driver, cook and maid for my fammily so I can feel free to sew!
ReplyDeleteLove that kind of weather - I truly believe that I belong in California. Don't get me wrong - it is beautiful were I live, it just isn't sunny, isn't 73°, and there is no breeze that remotely resembles an ocean breeze. Other than that and the fact that you have a lemon tree in your yard and I have "the woods", oh and that my coyotes probably don't hold a candle to your gofer ... I guess I am holding my own. All kidding aside, your weather reminds me of home (Chile), this time of year it is a little difficult to deal with the shorter days. Do you ever eat your nasturtiums? If the outdoors ever begins to resemble a garden I think it would be nice to put in a mini pergola and grow nasturtiums and morning glory. Yes , that would be beautiful ... Ahhh I feel better already. Let me know what you did on your day off, I hope it was fun. Carolina
ReplyDeleteUgh....taxes....the nasty word this time of year. Okay...so I am VERY anxious to see what you're making!! And while you are soaking up the sun in lovely 73 degree weather...I'm freezing at 25 degrees. But no worries...I'll find a nice quilt to cover up with. :o) LOVE you flowers!!
