It's June in January

Beautiful San Diego winter days this weekend.  The kind weather wimps like myself enjoy.  Mid seventies with the slightest breeze, sunshine--ahhhhhhh.  If only all winter could be like this.  I would get so much accomplished.  Today turned hazy but I'm not complaining one bit.  It's time we got some great weather to make up for the-Summer-that-Wasn't.
Here are two of the  half dozen things at my sewing machine this weekend.  The black still needs some attention but I'm overjoyed by the way this ribbon goes with Jane's Willow Wands.  It couldn't be more perfect.
I also worked up a Wine Gift Bag in Garden Divas.  Can't you see this going to Easter dinner as a hostess gift? Or a baby shower even.

I hear Mr. P at the espresso machine. Can't keep that noisette waiting. (That's an espresso with a splash of cream, in case you're wondering.)  Enjoy your week everyone!

  2. Pretty sewing. I've become a winter whimp too.

  3. I grew up, in Chile, with that kind of weather. I know that feeling of wanting it to be like that all year long? I have my fingers crossed that it is like that in heaven. If I had sewing to do, on a day like that, I would move my sewing machine outdoors. Ideally near a lemon tree in blossom.
On another note - that ribbon goes perfectly with the fabric. Carolina

  4. Karrieann--You're welcome. The robins entertained us for hours one day as they stopped by on their way to somewhere more permanent.

Carolina--I'm crossing my fingers too! And just to complete the picture for you, we have a lemon and lime tree in the front yard where the perfume can waft in the windows. A mandarin orange is at the back door. I promise to appreciate all that I have.

  5. Beautiful wine bag! I can't wait for spring! I've just started to bring out my stash of spring/summer fabric to make some little crochet/fabric dresses! Thanks for sharing!
