Not technically. What I do have is a "Sewing Computer". Nowhere in the manual does it describe this little beauty as a "machine". And since it is an on board computer that does all these wonderful decorative stitches, "sewing computer" is appropriate. She will always be a machine to me though.
I went first thing this morning to pick her up. I wish I had taken my camera with me. And not for pictures of other machines. The shop has a cat. What goes better with sewing machines than a cat, I ask you. Nothing. He's a big orange tiger stripe cat. And he was wearing a shirt!!!!!
See...I really did need that camera because even if you believe me, you can't possibly imagine this cat. A cat in a t-shirt, his arms through the arm holes and his head through the neck hole, walking around as if it were perfectly normal. Apparently, it keeps him from licking the wounds he got on his side. (Good thinking if you can get the cat to stay in it. Which he does.) Care to guess what size he wears? Not 6 months. Not even 12 months. No, this King of the Shop wears nothing less than a toddler size 2T!!! They said he was "big boned".
OH, wow!!! Lucky you!!! I can't wait to see all the amazing things you will be making!

That is so funny!! I couldn't help laughing and now people on the train are looking at me. If only they knew I was laughing about a big orange tiger cat in a tshirt! Your new machine looks fabulous! I'm sure it's the beginning of a long, creative partnership.
ReplyDeleteIf you hear on the news about a greenish glow over the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau - no worries - it is just me, green with envy over your new acquisition, your new Bernina.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to make a link on a comment, but go to the URL, below, and watch this. When I saw it, I thought of you - you have the same color sense. If life could be whipped up differently, I think I would have liked to have been a part of this company.
I gotta go - I am "late for school". Carolina
