Okay, we weren't really off the grid, but we were away from home for several days last week. We left Stinka in charge. A quick road trip to meet up with a few family members in Vegas kept me away from the sewing machine and blogging.
Pam recommended a side trip to Henderson to visit
Quiltique. Great call! As you can see from my purchase, I couldn't resist some fat quarters of Pam's fabric. And since Rachael has inspired me to continue my paper piecing adventure with her ever-growing stack of adorable Sis Boom hexies, I had to buy some of those too.
Yesterday, in between laundry and housework, I tried to make up for lost time by preparing this little stack. After an afternoon with these, I understand how people become obsessed.
What have you been up to? Ready for Christmas? I'm not. But I'm happy to sit and forget all about it while I sew up a new stack of cute, perfect hexies.
I was wondering where you were. I love Vegas! It's so colourful an bright and all a bit fantastic. I hope you had a great time. You'll be addicted to hexis, they're so relaxing to do. I still can't quite believe it's Christmas in less than a week. I saw your lovely birds on Jane Sassaman's blog. I love their little button wings. I bet Stinka would like them too. ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I was in Vegas a couple years ago. I was fortunate enough to get to see Hoover Dam...WOW...pretty amazing. I have done those little hexies before and they are addiciting. I'm anxious to see what you will create with those little yummies! :o)

Actually you know me and Vegas don't actually go together but you know that strip looks so fascinating with all the lights and the hotels and food sound like so much fun! I concur with everyone else the hexies are addicting. I use a different method but get the same result. Love em.
