Yesterday I met up with my big sister and three of my grown nieces. You've probably guessed by now that we ended up at Extraordinary Desserts. The Pumpkin Cheesecake for my sister.
The Viking for my niece who will be a first time mom any day now.
And my choice, a Valrhona Hot Chocolate. There's nothing like Extraordinary Desserts when you want to treat yourself. You just need to get all conversation out of the way before you crash off that sugar high. Because after that, not much happens unless you order an espresso before hitting the road. Not that I would know anything about that.
Oooooh...the memories are flooding back!
ReplyDeleteAnd we also liked the Coronado Cupcakery...though admittedly not in the same league!
how amazing and yummy! If I ever get to SD, I'm going to have to go there!!
ReplyDeleteI love it when your sisters and nieces visit so we get to see the extraordinary dessert photos! You'll soon have a new baby in the family, I can see some lovely baby softies in the future.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love it when you visit there and share you treats. I've now gained 10 pounds looking at the photos. :o) I'm glad you all had a good visit. How was the espresso aferwards? Hhhhmmm?? LOL
ReplyDeleteHold on a sec. Before I read the rest of your post ... let me see if there are any cookies in the cookie jar, a last slice of cake on the cake plate, or at least a scoop or two of ice cream at the bottom of the last Hagen-Daz container in the freezer.
ReplyDeleteNope. Nothing. Nada.
You're the one with all the goods.
Life. It just plays you that way somedays.
