See that box? You wouldn't know to look at it, but Quilt Market Madness is in there. My sewing assignments have arrived and it is time to get busy. Because that's only one of the boxes. So if you don't hear from me quite as often over the next couple of weeks, you'll know I'm sitting at the sewing machine, nose to the grindstone.
I bought a new ironing board cover in anticipation. Do you see this? Apparently, ironing board covers are not intended for the kind of use seamstresses and quilters put them through. Six to twelve times a month?! Seriously? Even Mr. P would qualify for a Superior Ironing Board Cover.
Have a great weekend, everybody!
What I really want to know is if you had any sense of shock and awe when you opened the box. Where the individual fabrics neatly folded and wrapped in separate plastic sleeves/ were they just thrown in there/ did they come with comments pinned to them that you have to use as guidelines/ did they send you just enough or will you have plenty of leftovers/were you at all surprised by some of the new designs? I wish I could have been there to see it all as you pulled each one from the box.
ReplyDeleteAs for the ironing board - do they mean that if you use the ironing board pad more then 12 times a month you can expect it to fall apart? I remember when things were made to last forever. We need to remedy this situation in this country and start producing things that are meant to be kept rather than added to a landfill. I don't normally get mad about these things, but this gets me fired up.
Focus on the box. Make us proud, Melissa. You will surprise us all in a couple of weeks when we get to see all you have created. Can't wait. Carolina
Carolina: I'll be posting more about my experiences opening boxes and getting things done. Because it has turned into more than one box. Box number 1 was orderly with fabric and pattern to be made included. Box 2 will not be that cut and dry. Stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow!!! Well you know me, I'm photoshopping right now on my market stuff. Can't wait to sew, with a sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteOh that's so funny! I guess we all need and extraordinary ironing board cover then!
