Cramming in the Crafting

Now that the Christmas craziness is over and the New Year still waits around the corner, the sewing machine is humming away.  I'm working on several patterns to put in the shop.  Which means making up several versions of each item and double checking measurements.  It also means sitting down to do the pattern writing--my least favorite part.  This afternoon will require a large pot coffee and some computer time.
One of the items on my "Patterns-That-Must-Be-Written" list is this little bag.  The yo yo takes it in a young-at-heart direction.  But other versions might include a loop and button closure.  Or a D-ring and strap.
This version uses Queen Street fabrics (Jennifer Paganelli's latest collection).  Very cheery, don't you think?  Before I can get to this pattern though, I have another one to finish.  But before I can get to that one, I need more coffee.  I hope your week is going well and the last few days of 2010 are spent remembering all the best of this passing year.

  1. Merry Christmas, Melissa. I had some unexpected traveling that I had to do as soon as Santa had done his duty. I am just getting back and will have to do some catching up. I have been having trouble with Emily's blog, Ravenhill. Are you also having difficulty getting her current posts? I am glad to be home. Exhausted, but happy. The bag looks wonderful, I know the directions are a drag, but you do it so well that it would be a shame not to have good directions for such a cute bag. Good luck. Carolina
