Just a Little Batty

In the midst of the current craziness I picked up some paper bats from Michael's.  Boring white bats that are intended for children to color.  My inner crazy child is rarely content to leave things in their "normal" state.  A little Sis Boom Casey Scroll, some glittery fabric paint, a couple pieces of fusible web, an eyelet and things started to glam up.

I needed a quick fun project to mix things up while I worked on a large, intensive one.  It doesn't get much easier than this.  The glittery little bat currently hangs out on the mantle.  She will soon be joined by her sisters to create a sparkling bat bunting.  In the meantime, she winks flirtatiously and tries to get the attention of any passerby.

If you thought I was the only batty one around here, this is where I found the cat this afternoon when I returned from running errands.  In the cupboard, in the crock pot.  Cats!

  3. Jennifer, you are too sweet. I'm not sure how well I do at all the things I dabble in. But I do know that I am not discouraged from trying just because perfection is elusive. It helps to give your inner crazy child free reign. :)

  4. A sparkling bat BUNTING??? -Ridiculously clever!
It seems that in Sewing Blogland, buntings are the craze, but I don't know if I would actually use one all that much if aI made one. A bat bunting might be a different story. Carolina

  5. Carolina: I know, right? Bunting is bit on the cutesy side for me but bats--now that's something altogether different.
