Things are going to get busy around here very soon. A good busy. An exciting busy. In order to be ready for it, I should be attending to the many miscellaneous things I have been neglecting lately. I should not be starting another project.
If you've seen Stitch Nation's Full o' Sheep 100% Peruvian Wool, you know why I had to start playing. And I do mean HAD TO. As in absolutely..had..to. This yarn is fun to work with. And the colors! The colors are so vivid I had a hard time capturing them in the photo.
My first thought was a felted Granny Square project bag. It may still happen. But as I work up more squares, I keep thinking what a cozy afghan this would make. It's really not worth spending too much time agonizing over. Because this is not going to be showing up here as a finished project any time soon. The great thing about Granny Squares is how fast you can make them. And even if you only do one here and another one there, some months down the road you will have a small pile of their brilliant beauty.
Right! Enough drooling over my new yarn. Back to tutorial drafting. And quilt block mock-ups. And frilly bats. And dark pumpkins. And Mod Podge Christmas ideas. But first things first. Coffee and chocolate top the list. I'll never get through otherwise.
Have a creative weekend everyone!
I love the colors! And you know it's my favorite block. Pass the chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting to see your Cath Kidston inspired granny square lap throw. :) The one you don't even know you want to make yet.
