A Full Weekend

Did you have a good weekend?  Relaxing?  Productive?  Maybe it's all just a big blur.  It was a full weekend here.  It started Friday night with two huge, heavy boxes delivered by FedEx.  And no, they were not full of fabric.  Just Mr. P's replacement recliner.  After the FedEx man dropped them inside the front gate, I called Mr. P.  The conversation went something like this:  "Dude...your recliner is sitting in the front yard.  I think you should get home sooner rather than later."  "What?  My recliner came?! I'll be home as soon as I can."  And in his defense, it is a comfy recliner.  Which I'm told arrived just in time for football season to start.

Then there was the usual housework and yard work.  And a trip out to my sister's house.   And my brother's house.  There were tales of adventure to be regaled with, stuff to deliver and warm temperatures to enjoy.

And then we managed to fit in 24 holes of golf yesterday, plus Night Time Zoo.  Okay, not real golf.  Wii golf.  I'm about the last person in the world you would expect to see on a golf course.  It probably wouldn't even be safe to put a golf club in my hands and let me whack at a ball.  Two reasons...I am not athletic at all and I am not coordinated.  Oh, maybe three, as I tend to be accident prone.  Are you beginning to see the problems?  (And those of you who know me well can just stop all the snickering and chortling, because I hear you.)  But with the Wii, no problem.  I can't hurt anyone.  And I can take a break and have a cup of coffee, check in with Jenny to see what's new in Texas, feed the neighbor cat snacks, etc.  My kind of sport.

Actually, Mr. P and I had fun.  Even if I was excited every time the ball went into the cup--triple bogeys or birdies, didn't much matter.  Even if he was being overly competitive--with himself.

I also received an order from Treasure Bay Fabrics' Etsy shop.  That's the picture that started the post.  I love the Sassaman vintage fabric (a great find) and the two Sis Boom Casey Scroll fabrics are new to my stash.  But those ribbons!  Oh, those ribbons.  They are stunning.  Melissa at Treasure Bay Fabrics has a great inventory of fabrics, some hard to find, and notions and patterns.  You can find her here

So...as you can see, a lot went on around here.  I did not accomplish the crafty things I anticipated.  But it was a good weekend.  And now, it's a brand new week.  I hope I'm ready.
